Pastor Bryant S. Skillern (Pastor Smoke)
I came to faith in Jesus Christ on 25 October, 2000.
After leading an exceedingly sin-filled life for 39 years, I finally came to a point where I realized that I was sorely missing something in my life and needed for something to drastically change. That change came through surrendering to the Lord Jesus Christ.
A short while later I started feeling a burden for the lost and a desire to help build the kingdom of God.
After starting out doing some jail ministry, I then became involved in helping with music ministry and the preaching of God's Word as an associate pastor of a local church.
At the leading of the Lord, my wife Mary and I moved to Frederic where we are raising our two young daughters. All together we have 6 daughters and 2 sons. Our older children live in various parts of Michigan.
I have an extreme desire to see folks both in and out of the church learn about the freedom that they can have from sin and bondage through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. I also have a heart for strengthening the body of Christ and for evangelizing the lost.
One of my greatest passions is to share the ministry of the Holy Spirit baptism with whomever desires to receive it.
My family and I found the Lord at Word of Life Christian Center, in Lonetree, Colorado where we gave our hearts, and lives to Christ in Feb. 2005. My family was baptized in Oct. 2006, at Word of Life Christian Center. We moved back to Michigan in 2007. Then in late 2010, the Lord spoke and said, "I want you to be a Fisher of Men". Within the next few months I started my Pastoral classes through MISOM (Michigan School of Ministry) in Sand Lake, MI. I was Head of the Nursery for 1 yr and the Pastor in Children's Church for 2yrs. Then, I received my Credentials of Ministry on October 19th 2012. I was an Associate Pastor for 3yrs. The Lord has Blessed me the opportunity to experience Street Ministry, bringing people to the Lord. I've been Preaching God's Word since 2010. Lord willing, He will continue to Bless me with this gift, and Privilege. God Bless, and our Church Welcomes You to join us in Service.
